An all-encompassing, yet easy-to-understand module to build a solid foundation for your brand. You need a strategy to make choices that serve your brand’s purpose.

Design Principles

This bootcamp won't turn you into a graphic designer, but it will equip you with the knowledge to understand the basics.

Figma Foundation

Figma is a free-to-use program that offers endless opportunities to design everything you need for the digital world.

Adobe Essentials

You’ll understand the differences between Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop and then receive an introduction to Adobe Express, a new all-in-one design, photo, and video tool to make content creation easy.

Web
Essence

Website development can be complex, but it doesn't have to be! After grasping some basic web concepts, you'll create the UX map for your future site and be introduced to the two most significant DIY website builders: Wix and Squarespace.

Social
Media

What is a brand without social media? You’ll build a strategy, again then learn about tips and tricks on how to create content, which platforms are the best for you to use, and learn more in depth about Instagram.

The Curriculum

The curriculum is structured into three main modules, each consisting of six lessons. An introductory lesson sets the tone for bootcamp, and a closing lesson concludes it, summarizing key learnings and providing an opportunity for feedback.


Module 1: Brand Strategy

  • We start with the simplest exercise of any branding-marketing journey: positioning, then moving on to the “holy trinity” of vision, mission, values.

  • A quick look to see what or who else is out there is helpful to differentiate your offering. Setting goals will help you stay on track - because you’ll have ups and downs and endless amount of new ideas.

  • Knowing who you are talking to is essential to know how to communicate. You’ll also build a customer persona (someone who represents the ideal customers for your business).

  • In this class, you’ll discover how your audience might interact with your brand. And how your communication can be adjusted according to different moments of their journey.

  • Defining your brand archetype is a highly beneficial exercise to discover the personality of your brand. This process aids in enhancing both visual and verbal communication.

  • We dig deeper on personality and set a foundation for the next module. You’ll explore not only your brand aesthetic but also your brand’s tone.

Module 2: Visual Language

  • Some people equate a brand with a logo, but by now, you’ll understand that there is more to it. In this lesson, you will delve into details surrounding the number one favorite brand element, along with principles and rules to apply.

  • In this lesson, you’ll delve into the fundamentals of color psychology and color theory, followed, of course, by a hands-on task.

  • This lesson is rich with knowledge, clarifying terminology once and for all. Additionally, you'll delve into typography principles and font pairing.

  • Ten simple rules of graphic design that will elevate any of your future creation by 200%. Pretty theoretical, but you’ll have plenty of opportunity to practice too!

  • An introductory class to a tool that provides you with the ability to design anything and have an overview of all your brand assets, and it’s free!

  • You’ll get a glimpse of the Adobe Creative Suite and a list of websites to find free (or almost free) assets to use, such as photography or illustration.

Module 3: Virtual Presence

  • You’ll get to know the two most user-friendly website hosting options: Wix and Squarespace, and learn more about their pros and cons of usage.

  • Building a clear structure is the base for any good website. In this lesson, you’ll create the skeleton of your website.

  • We go into details regarding your website, for instance how to upload media, or what the magic abbreviation SEO means.

  • Based on the previous classes, you’ll build your content strategy in no time, and learn more about how to prepare for social media content creation.

  • Instagram might seem like the Queen of social media, but there are more platforms out there so we’ll quickly explore the cons and pros of each.

  • After all, this is the most popular platform so let’s take more time to discover what you need to know!


This is not for you if…


You are seeking a quick and easy solution to address all of your concerns and problems.

I’m sorry to say but quick and easy doesn’t exist. Or if it does, it’s probably bad quality or a straight up scam. If you have a specific issue, I’d ask you to book an intro call with me so we can talk about it in detail and I create an offer on how to tackle it. Maybe it’s 1:1 coaching that you need.

You don’t have 2-4 hours per week to read the presentations and do the exercises.

The bootcamp is structured as a 20-week program, requiring a substantial commitment. It's important to note that success entails dedicated effort, and as the classes are progressive, if immediate commitment isn't feasible, it may be it might be better to wait for a more opportune time.

You are looking for a program, that gives you a certification.

The bootcamp is designed for your use. I am not affiliated with any institution, and this program is entirely based on my own experiences. The aim is to empower you with agency, theoretical knowledge, and practical wisdom so you can do things for your own business.

You “only need a logo”.

Brand ≠ Logo. It’s very very rare that someone really only needs a logo. But all this aside, you won’t become a graphic designer with this bootcamp.

You wont be learning programs in depth, it’s more about getting familiar with tools and explain your needs to a designer and be able to apply the knowledge to existing branding assets. At the end of the program, you might need a logo - if that’s the case: shoot me a mail ;)

You have money but no time to spend on building your brand from scratch.

This program is meant to be a beginner’s bootcamp to understand all of these aspects. In case you are interested only in a certain module or a class, let me know! If there’s interest in booking singular modules, I might open it up as a possibility.

FAQs


  • You’ll receive one lesson per week and there are 18 lesson. With an intro and outro week, the program meant to last 20 weeks.

  • No! Although we'll touch on Adobe a bit, the primary focus is on Figma, which is free to use. As for the website builders, both Squarespace and Wix offer trial options, ensuring you don't have to invest in anything beyond the cost of the bootcamp.

  • You can ask your questions in the dedicated Facebook group, reach out to your Study Buddy and / or ask in our biweekly call.

  • There are no live classes to attend but we have a biweekly online gathering to share progress, insights, give feedback on each other’s task and ask questions. The call takes place on Google Meet and lasts maximum of 60 minutes.

  • The presentations, worksheets, and videos will be shared via Google Drive. The biweekly group calls take place on Google Meet.

  • Try to complete all assignments as soon as possible, as some may build on each other. Doing so will enhance your understanding of the week's class.

    Life happens, so don't worry too much if you miss one call. However, I encourage you to participate in most of them, as it allows for mutual learning and provides support if needed.

  • The introductory call is on January 10th, Wednesday. Afterward, every second week on Mondays, except for the last one, which is on May 23rd, Thursday. The time is always at 19:00 CET. Scroll a bit to see a better overview!

  • Anyone :) There are no prerequisites to join except an open mind and a willingness to learn. Please note: this is a safe, nonjudgmental space where everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, age, sexuality, etc. Kindness and respect are expected from everyone. For further information, please read about my values on the ‘About me‘ page and only sign up if resonates with you.

  • Canva is a widely used tool and undoubtedly has its benefits, but I believe learning Figma will take you further. In Canva, you will always be restricted and tempted by other designs, or it will take more time to customize something. In Figma, you can work on multiple assets simultaneously, have a better overview of all your assets, and be prepared for the moment when your business scales.

  • If you cancel your participation before the boot camp starts, you'll receive a full refund. After the commencement, I cannot offer a refund.
